Experimental Study on Compressive Behavior of Concrete-filled Double-skin Circular Tubes with Active Confinement

A convenient family member of composite columns is concrete filled double skin tube (CFDST); it contains two tubes concentric steel and also shell that there between them. The superior or equal potential offering characteristics CFDST are more than counterparts classical (CFST). purposes the present study to provide experimental investigation results into prestressed load-carrying capacity columns. Here, an innovative technique used confined prestressing, in which fresh compressed for a short-run duration. Sixty-four total specimens were tested with various outer thickness diameter, inner strength resist axial compression. support concrete, demonstrates specimens' enhanced significantly.
